Natural Bombshell

Did I tell you that I attended a debutante ball the other month? These were all women of polite society, ladies of class and respect. But I scanned all the hairstyles(something I do when there's a bunch of black folks), and noticed only 3 women, in the audience, with their hair natural. Disappointing. This is why I felt compelled to give attention to a friend of mine who embraces the true beauty of natural hair.

The Other Side

In a class for language teachers, I learned that the brain uses one side for singing, and the other for communicating. That's why Celine Dion can sound one way on stage but not as pleasant during an interview. This explains how Fat Albert speaks low and airy, but has great tone while serenading the benefits of staying in school. As an example, check out this video of Applegirl. It's sounds like she has a Korean accent, but totally loses it while singing.

Profanity, stay the heck away from me

As a general rule, I don't buy music with profanity. Come on John, the first track? Really? At least the album was $1.99

Served it's purpose

Les Jours de Mirand - In 2006, I really needed that blog. There were very few means to satisfy the human need to communicate. Even one-way communication was fine with me.

Now that things are much better in life, I'm not too motivated to support this often. Talked to some friends last weekend, they've become kind of exhausted by blogging too. Well....

I now own the red patch cable!

This morning, I got a email from Rob Wright telling me that the Edirol interface was received and the cable will be on it's way. We'll see if it can make music like this.

Homicide #8 claimed an old classmate from 6th grade, so sad.
